WARNING. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. If I could give this company a name I would call them Liar's Appliance. Initially, I called this company because of the decent reviews but those seem to be from a while ago or perhaps they are fake.... Here is my story, I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that had Failure to Drain Error. I tried to self diagnose the problem but am no expert so I called Laabs Appliance. Speaking with Jake on the phone he told me it was definitely the pump and not a clog. I'm not sure how he could confidently diagnose this over the phone but I believed him. He told me the pump would be in the next day. He told me his pricing. I was thankful and waited for a call. I received no call so I called him back and he told me the part was still not in. This went on for a couple of days, blaming the delivery driver saying the pump should have been here already. I stuck with him though because he seemed to offer the lowest pricing....I asked if he could just come and look at it to see if it was a clog and he said no. Finally, I got a call that the pump had arrived and they could come out. Perfect! I had plans that day and asked when they would arrive, I was told about an hour or two. Hours go by and at this point, my plans have been canceled. I call the store and am told they have no idea where the man is to fix my dishwasher. Hours later someone shows up and says they had car problems. Okay another misfortunate circumstance but let's just fix the dishwasher. During the appliance fixing process, he seemed to not have all his tools, this included a bucket for water to drain so he used one of my good pans :/. Upon completion of the project I was charged more than previously discussed on the phone with owner Jake. Not even a month later and the filter area is not draining completely. Perhaps if they did an effective job of diagnosing the problem to begin with I would not have had issues. Laabs Appliance offers a 30 day warranty however it is IMPOSSIBLE to use. For weeks I have tried to call the company with no answer on the phones. When I finally got in contact with Jake I was told there could be a clog.... and I was told he would come Tuesday. He never shows. Wednesday- no show. Thursday I called and voiced my frustrations with his no-shows, he told me he was doing his "damnedest" and "no ifs ands or buts" he would be there today. Who do you think didn't show up.... I called later that night and he told me Friday morning he would certainly be over. Well, today is Friday, and who still hasn't shown up.... I called today and spoke with Chris who told me he even made sure Jake was awake today....? Jake does sound like he has some sobriety problems.... I also spoke with Brandon who also assured me he would be coming over later today but this has not happened. This has been an absolute disaster. I spent $300 on a dishwasher repair that still is not fixed... I could have bought a new dishwasher for this price. PLEASE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Also, they charged 9% tax... and only took cash because they said their credit card system was hacked but didn't mention this until they arrived...super sketchy.
