UPDATE: After my initial review I received a call the following morning and was told that if I could get my washer to them that they would fix it free of charge. And just as discussed I brought it to them and they fixed my washer rather quickly. Turns out the appliance tech I brought in misdiagnosed the problem and it was a wiring issue beneath the washer. Washer is hooked back up at my home agitating and washing clothes. Thank you for treating customers right and going above and beyond to ensure your customers are satisfied with their purchases.
ORIGINAL review-Purchased both a Whirlpool washer and dryer on October 19, 2025. The staff member at the location was helpful in every aspect and the purchase experience was great. By November 1st (1 week since purchase) the dryer quit working. It wouldn’t even turn on. I consider myself a pretty good DIYer and found the problem to be the thermal fuse. I replaced it and cleaned out a decent amount of lint that was stuck inside the dryer (had only dried 3 loads since purchase and cleaned the lint filter after each use). It would’ve been more of a hassle to load the dryer back up and take to Summerville than to just fix it myself. I was told if I left a good review I would get an additional month of warranty on top of the included 1 month warranty. I don’t like leaving reviews immediately as they can be misleading and don’t truly tell the whole story. Fast forward to the latter of December and I notice the washer is stuck on rinse during a routine light load wash. Agitator wouldn’t engage and I would cancel the load and have to set to Rinse/drain in order to work. It did this multiple times so I decided to call the store in order to provide the problems I was experiencing and maybe get some pointers on what I should do to get the washer working again. I wasn’t expecting another washer, as it was out of warranty. I called multiple times, left messages with my number and have yet to receive a call back. Now the washer doesn’t do anything but run water and drain. Completely useless at this point. I had a local, experienced appliance tech (40+years of experience)diagnose the problem and apparently it needs new suspension rods, actuator, and clutch kit which would cost me almost as much as I paid for both washer and dryer. Seems like my experience with this company is an oddity compared to the rest of the 5 star reviews. I understand these appliances are used, but a supposedly refurbished 2023 model washer and dryer should last more than 2-3 months.
