My mechanic referred this company to me, when I said I needed a new/used dryer because mine quit on me 6 months ago. I am retired now after 35 years of working, living on social security. It took me months to save enough money to buy a dryer. I walked into South Hills Used washers & dryers and was immediately impressed. I thought from the outside this would be a small place. Then I saw so many appliances, all looking brand new!
Dolly came out, immediately, to help me. We discussed what I was looking for, and she told me to look around. The prices are on the appliances...$250 for a used dryer, looking like brand new. I decided then to put down a deposit and asked her about the delivery. Only $35! NO one delivers for that price! I thanked her, she said she would call on delivery day, to let me know what time I could expect my new dryer.
Gary, the owner, showed up promptly. Let me tell you how refreshing it is to meet such an honest, dependable, hard working and kind man! Hands down, best service I have ever received! For a small, independent shop, they are very deserving of 5 stars plus for a rating!
I have told anyone I see about going to this shop, and will recommend them highly! I read many good reviews, even after being referred to them. I sure hope they get lots of business, they certainly deserve it!
Again, SO refreshing to find such an honest and dependable small business! Just like finding an honest, good mechanic...you always go back for their excellent product & services! Thankyou Gary & Dolly! It was a pleasure doing business with you, and the savings meant so much to me!
In reading their only bad review (husband & wife both slammed them)...for your information, there IS a sign in the shop stating deposits are not refundable. I didn't ask about credit because I had cash. As a person with an accounting degree, small businesses pay fees to run credit! That hurts small places, so it is not solely to avoid taxes as they stated! It is an expense!
I put my deposit down on a Saturday. Because of my schedule, I had my dryer delivered 9 days later. Dolly was prompt on the phone call about my delivery, and my delivery was exactly on schedule...and in the pouring rain! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business!!!
