Smart Buy Appliances and Mattress

We bought a refrigerator from this store after being told there was only a scratch on the side. A few months later we began having problems with it to be told that the condenser and compressor needed to be replaced. The technician (not from this company) stated that someone had tapped into the closed system previously and basically "put a bandaid" over the problem in order to sell it as a working refrigerator. Do NOT buy anything from these people. They are scammers.

Made the purchase of a refrigerator from these guys in October. I asked about the warranty and they said it was under the manufacturer's parts & labor. So before purchasing I looked into it and the model was over 5yrs old and was no longer covered by the manufacturer. So I communicated that with them and they gave me a parts & labor warranty that covered a year. Honestly it looked legitimate, there's a website, contact info, no outstanding BBB problems I could uncover. Unfortunately it was garbage, just like this appliance store. I moved into the house a month ago and had the refrigerator installed, but the doors latching system is broken and it will not close. So after paying $1900 for the unit and paying $100 for "warranty" service, they will not communicate, do the work or refund. I contacted these guys at Smartbuy again to get their help considering they issued me the warranty. Apparently they have zero relationship with them and after sending one email that they received no response on, they said it's my problem. Be very careful, prices aren't bad, but there's a reason for that. They are selling you garbage and they will not stand behind it!
