College Products

I purchased the fridge/microwave duo at the beginning of this school year. Problem number one: the items in my fridge always froze but if I turned down the temp, nothing in the freezer would freeze. It bugged me but I got used to it. Problem number two and the biggest one: it turns out my college product fridge was infested with cockroaches when they gave it to me. I know this because in my first semester dorm, I found 2 baby ones in my fridge but thought it was from the building. Then I started seeing them at least once a month. For semester two, I moved to a smaller room and kept finding them in my ice machine, water, and fridge more frequently than before. So I knew it wasn’t because of the building. Next, I bought traps and put them next to the fridge to figure out if it was coming from that. The photo is me catching them… on my birthday. Yay me. Then I called them, bought spray, and got rid of it. If only I did that sooner 🤦‍♀️ I do not recommend this at all and if you do get one, spray it with roach spray so you do not have the same problem. The even better option, buy a new fridge, not this. It has not been worth the “convenience” at all.

I'm just now getting around to reviewing this company from the Fall of 2025. This is by far one of the worst companies for customer service or logistical support. I ordered a Loft Kit way before the deadline and when I got to school, it was not there. When I called the company, they told me that it was never ordered. Turns out they had two sites live for orders and couldn't find my order, because it was on the other site. My Loft finally delivered after weeks of complaints. Which by the way, they still have two sites that are LIVE. What kind of marketing genius has two LIVE sites for the same company for orders.

College products was easy and amazing to work with for rental and set up of their products in my son's dorm. Stephanie went above and beyond to help guide me through an early checkout process when we had to bring my son home early from school. She was kind, explained the process, answered all my questions, and sent an email recap for my records. It's amazing when you call a company and their is a human on the other side to help you with any questions. They not only won my business but I will use them again and refer them to future college parents.
