In the end—- talks a big game, but doesn’t do the right thing for an elderly woman on a fixed income.
Although, JC comes off as polite and caring in certain situations, he is the king of “later, later” without any follow through. Bought a fridge from him for my elderly mother who is on a fixed income and has full time care. He assured me it was in great condition. 70 days later the fridge stopped working. We had to follow up with him several times and he did finally come by a day later unprepared to look at the fridge said he would be back with parts shortly and I needed to stay home and wait for him, he Didn’t return back for 6 hours and ruined our whole day. He said it was fixed and it wasn’t. I spent the next 3 days trying to contact him and get the matter resolved, while he procrastinated more and more. During this time, all of my mother’s food went bad and he did nothing.
My boyfriend got involved, bc he thought he would deal better with a man, but had no success. Tried to pull the same tricks on him, like he was going to help, but never followed through.
I just wanted it exchanged, and he wouldn’t do that and tried to charge me for an older fridge. I finally asked to please just take it back and give just half our money back and he declined. Once again, this is for an elderly woman on a fixed income and it had been such a short amount of time.
While he kept saying he would call later and help us, we knew he was full of crap by day 6 and my boyfriend ended up buying a new fridge from Best Buy and spent a few hundred dollars on new groceries. When my boyfriend asked to please refund just half the money and that he finally had to buy my mother a new fridge, JC wife said, “great, looks like you solved the problem”. Super rude.
Please note and remember, Because it was such a short amount of time since we purchased, I didn’t even look at his warranty, as used items have a minimum of a 90 day warranty, (feel free to google) so I was surprised that he only does 60 days for returns, which he never sent anything about until after I paid.
Long story short, probably fine if everything goes ok, but if there is a problem, he doesn’t follow through on anything and won’t refund money or exchange, which if that was the case, I would have preferred a NO before all my mothers groceries went bad, while waiting for him to do the right thing.
